Rodney Franklin – Rodney Franklin

Rodney Franklin's self titled LP is a Sony Music masterpiece. Rodney composing and piano skill is pure genius. This project was one of those that I purchased from listening while shopping in the record store (in-store play). When listening to the selection “Windy City”,I knew at that moment the lp was going home with me. The second track“Life Moves On” is very tranquil and has a meditating sound. I can only imagine that this track has an interesting story behind it.

The lp has three very uplifting tracks “In The Center” (youtube video above), “I Like The Music Make It Hot” and “On The Path”. These are songs that could jump start a good jazz happy hour. When Rodney writes a song for you and your name is mentioned in the title, you must be very special. The “Theme for Jackie” is a picture of beauty and grace. I use it on several occasions for runway music at fashion shows.

Rodney’s classical training is showcased on “Awakening” and “Creation”. Both selections are very elegant and peaceful. This is one of four cd’s of Rodney Franklin that is now available to purchase. I recommend to add these to your music library.
