Billy Ocean - Love Zone

When The Going gets tough...The tough DOES get going. Straight from Arista/Jive Records in 1986.
Only after awhile though. If you depend on great music from the 80's to lift you up, then think back on the career of R&B, Caribbean queen hit maker Billy Ocean. Please lovers of the old school.
Especially the "Love Zone" LP. Billy's voice had filled the air with compassion & heart. Drawn upon a certain measure of peace that doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. But rather gave unto a feeling of interest. A feeling of relaxation & a sense of calm. Thats' where his slow songs carried some of his listeners back then...
The only way to fully appreciate the reason for this album is to emancipate the gift Billy brings to each song he breathes life to. A cat who brought it to you in the form of disco in "Nights (Feel Like Getting Down)" & his self titled release should have all of you hold up & think back on his legacy. It doesn't take a lot of words & fancy phrases to illuminate the music Mr. Ocean once gave to us. If you don't feel so...then go get the greatest hits collection.
I beg to differ. Please go after Billy's albums one-after-the-other.
The London UK representative, lookin' like a Jamaican-born, but from Trinidad, singing thoroughbred brought joys to the hearts of millions with tracks so significant, the minute you stroll through the grocery store, you'll hear snapshots of "Going Get Tough....", "There'll Be Sad Songs..." & the classic slow jam "Love Zone" (click song to see video)
After the songs mentioned above, the Roland 808 beat machine got checked when Billy 'suddenly' grooved you into a trance with "It's Never Too Late To Try" (look below)
That Track made you roll your chairs back, pull up a glass & slapped high fives to the players who knew the cut without questions asked. By The Way, was that Jonathan Butler on the guitar solo?
"Love Zone". Billy, Thank You! I KNOW there's playback of just about ANY compositions made off your project & we hope you do it all again!
Madd Love...
