SWV - A Special Christmas

Coko, Taj & Lelee reminds a handful, or possibly thousands of R&B listeners back in 1997 how they can come together & wrap their harmonious voices together & sing!! They caroled some great classics, grooved the remakes & treasured memories of their successful career as the one & only - SWV!!

Partners In Crime Robert Young, Marvin Dickey & Charles F. Sherard from the T.U.M.S. unit started this! So Yule Tide, Lets Go....
If you cold dig some great R&B arrangments, then consider the work done by producer Michael J. Powell. He did a splendid job & his personnel: Vernon D. Fails - Keyboards & Piano, Al Turner - Bass Guitar, Ron Otis - Drums, Paul D. Allen - Drums/Programming & Robert Yancy - Sax.....came with it. Together, the productions & programmings came in full sequence to SWV's countless vocal blessings!
I loved the way they turned up the tempo to "This Christmas" & catch Coko do her thang!; "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was excellent, considering this one was a classic.; "Christmas Ain't Christmas" goes straight to point of sharing this season without your loved one, yet it doesn't drown you into misery. That's right, they picked up the tempo to this one too, as to lift your spirits!!; "White Christmas" contains the ingredients to a R&B soulful slow jam, but to the traditional Christmas spirit. Check it.
This happens to be one of my favorites & I personally send this out to SWV themselves! To say Thanks You for the beautiful music these ladies had brought together, as well as the congrats for Coko, for stepping out into the Gospel music realm! Hopefully they can come together again and do it all over....
