Hailing straight from Brooklyn, NY, & sang with the best of them which includes Paul Laurence, Freddie Jackson, Kashif & More....possibly comes the highlight of his life! Just ask the UK!! They jammed him on the scene without moments notice!!!
Not everyone clearly knew who this cat was. But for those of you remembering the days when Soul Train played the hit single "Sexy Girl" out....I'm mean cats & chicas got their GROOVE ON!! Ya'll knew that was the jam!! Especially the extended remix version on 12".
But the rest of the album was solid too! Mixed with various fast & slow cuts, the CD sparked the interest in how long Lillo had planned to croon the R&B genre.
There was also "Downtown" that had several remixes on wax! The slow jam that has to be honored, of course is "Wanna Make Love (All Night Long)"! I'm very surprised that nobody came back to do a cover of that one! Not unless I slept on it. Or maybe they couldn't surprise me with a better mix! Overall, Lillo crooned his behind off & this LP is considered to be one of my most favorite!
