B B & Q - Genie

Hey Ya'll!
Its the Brooklyn, Bronx & Queens Band! Straight from New York!
And if you do not have this in your arsenal of Old School LP's, Cassette's & CD's....Then you are in trouble!
Not since the R&B legendary groups S.O.S. Band & Change has anything came as close to the sound structure & overall appeal in similarity to the vibe these players brought to the open court. The court of an 80's groove that brought about the likes of Loose Ends, Klique, 52nd Street, & earlier productions of hitmaking duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
However, it wasn't those 2 that carried that groove all by themselves. There was another set of players from back in the day that laid it on the line. Such as Curtis Hairston of The BB&Q Band...
This project was absolutely the BOMB! Go grab those roller skates if you still have them & grease down the wheels. Quickly!
Every single track, from the title track "Genie", right on down to "Riccochet", will grab you. It will bring reminisce. It will be played back. It will beg you to ask the younger generation to re-duplicate anything near the sounds of these compositions.
BB&Q stood the test of time with gems like this. Did ya'll know they had 3 projects other than this one?
Track listing:
-- Genie
-- Main Attraction
-- Won't You Be With Me Tonight
-- Don't Force It
-- Minutes Away
-- On The Shelf
-- Dreamer
-- Riccochet
And if you pick it up from various websites out there, you may find a copy that includes bonus tracks:
-- Dreamer (Shep Pettibone/Long Vocal Version)
-- Riccochet (Ben Liebrand Mix)
-- Dreamer (Shep's Dress Version)
-- Main Attraction (The Finest Remix)
-- Dreamer (No.1 Remix)
-- Dreamer (Shep Pettibone Short Version)
There had to be a reason as to why the producers decided to throw more than one remix to a jam. Catch my drift?
