Here's another 'Special Look' at an album dropped in the late 80's, some 18 years ago from acclaimed actress of "Fame", Wifey of NBA legend Norm Nixon & Choreographer - Mrs Debbie Allen.
This project possibly slipped by everyone's radar screen's. Exquisitely produced by Kashif, Jessie Johnson, Nick Tresvick & Attala Zane Giles, I can rest assure: The many of you still locked into the 80's grooveline, may need to come back to this one. Absolutely - A gem in the secret awaits your pallets!
9 Total Tracks of endless, unparalled jams! All in sync & very well composed. The kicker actually stems in the true reality: Ms. Allen has a great talent beind the mic & she expresses it dearly for each composition. She almost sounded like another R&B songstress who broke out in the 80's - Pebbles. But you'll see the difference!
Some of my favorites include the title track; "Rock Me Steady" & "Holdin' On To Love" will share comparables to the styles of productions Kashif & Mr. Giles display; "Keepin' It Undercover" grooved, but ultimately, "Love Of All Time" was the JAM! No doubt! I'm keepin' this on the repeat....!
Contributions from Paul Jackson Jr., Will Downing, Audrey Wheeler, Yogi Lee & etc...helped to elevate this project to be best remembered as possibly one of those CD's that should've gotten additional airplay. In fact, the majority of tracks produced by Kashif should keep those out there seeking to find any & all of his stuff, within arms reach...
